"Remember, girl, that dark things crouch in the corners of your mind, things you aren't aware exist. And so even the gentlest dream can mask a nightmare."
Jori wakes each morning already knowing that her day will be a nightmare. Months earlier, a car accident left her father dead and Jori herself terribly scarred. Angry and bitter, she has become a pariah at school. And her sister Lisa, unable to bear the changes in their family, has disappeared.
But then Jori meets a fascinating old man, Professor DePris. With the help of the spider Arachnea, he is able to weave the dreams of his guests into a living tapestry, one they can enter to live out their fantasies. Jori soon realizes that Lisa, along with countless others, is trapped inside the dream world. Will Jori be strong enough to find her sister and pull her from this fantastic place where anything--even reuniting with their father--is possible?
